1. I pulled the drive, attached to another Mac, and using EasyFind, searched for Extensions folders, sorted on date, and removed old plist files (most were from the same 2015 date and from Apple). For good measure, I also searched for StartupItem folders and removed anything that looked fishy (sorry, I tried so many different things that failed.
2. 'your computer restarted because of a problem press a key or wait a few seconds' loop on Catalina Macbook Pro. Most of our user base has seen this issue on OS Catalina using a Macbook Pro. Though this can occur more rarely on Mac Os Mojave. This leads us to believe that older laptops are more susceptible to this issue.
3. IMPORTANT: there is an 'older version download' for older versions of the OS. BE SURE TO DOWNLOAD THE RIGHT VERSION for the OS you're installing. Next, ERASE the INTERNAL drive to Mac OS extended with journaling enabled, GUID partition format. Then, use CCC to clone the contents of the external drive to the INTERNAL drive.

Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver

The TOOLS for UR come with a Yamaha Steinberg USB driver component included. However, a newer version of the driver for your USB audio interface might be available on this page.The driver component can be updated separately in this case.

This version contains the native plug-ins incl. an AAX version.
Please note that a Basic FX Suite license is required to use the plug-ins!

UR824 Firmware Update V1.5.0

176.4 kHz and 192 kHz have been added to the sample rate selection. For details on setting the sample rate and limits regarding higher settings, please refer to the documentation included in the TOOLS for UR824 V1.5.0.
